WOOL
GREASE FATTY ACID - DATA SHEET
Wool Grease Fatty Acids are produced from the process of Wool
Grease being refined to produce Lanolin. The Fatty Acid fraction
being a natural, renewable raw material which has its origin from
Wool Grease recovered from the aqueous scouring of greasy wool. The
Fatty Acid fraction is therefore a highly complex mixture of
semi-refined Wool Grease and Fatty Acids.
Chemically it is a wax and a complex mixture of esters, di-esters
and hydroxyl esters of lanolin alcohols with high molecular weight
lanolin acids.
Wool Grease Fatty Acids are a versatile raw material for use in
rust preventatives, greases, sheep markings, lubricants, adhesives,
cutting fluids, dewatering chemicals, tanning processing etc.
